Govt of Pakistan has officially said it wants Donald Trump to be nominated for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize. The reason? His role during the 2025 Pakistan-India crisis, where things almost turned into full-blown war.

They say India acted aggressively and crossed the line, killing innocent people. Pakistan responded with a limited military move, called Operation Bunyan Marsoos. It was said to be controlled and meant only to stop further attacks. During this time, Trump jumped in, talking to both sides.

According to officials, his talks helped cool things down fast. A ceasefire came into effect, which probably stopped things from getting worse.

Pakistan also praised him for earlier offers to help with the Kashmir issue  something they say is the real reason behind tensions in the region. They think peace is not really possible unless Kashmir is solved.

The statement added that Trump also spoke out on other conflicts like Gaza and Iran, and that shows he’s serious about peace, not just here, but in general.

It’s not clear how the Nobel Committee will react, but Pakistan made its position public.
